The construction of Ho Chi Minh Ring Road №3 is expected to start in June 2023, with completion scheduled in three years, according to the government decree on the implementation of the project.
The road, which is over 76 kilometers long, passes through the city of Ho Chi Minh City and three provinces in Vietnam's key southern economic region: Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An.
The RR3 project is divided into eight component projects to be implemented with public funding, four of which are related to land clearing and resettlement.
The chairmen of Ho Chi Minh City and the three provinces have the right to make investment decisions for each composite project.
In its ruling, the government requires that the project be carried out in accordance with the law, ensuring progress and quality, as well as strict management and efficient use of capital.
The government is also allowing the implementation of various procedures regarding building materials and environmental impact, while speeding up the project.
